Saving Students Money
Students enjoy tremendous savings on textbooks with our CT2Learn Evolved Learning System.
CT and Glendale Community College
In the summer of 2013, Curriculum Technology teamed up with the Glendale Community College Criminal Justice Program to help them improve the presentation of their online course offerings. As part of the process, GCC adopted the CT2Learn ELS to provide the academic content for the course rebuilds.
4 to 17 to 25 and growing
In the first fall term, CT and GCC were able to rebuild and convert four courses. By spring 2014, it was up to 17. By fall of 2014, the number increased to over 25 online and on ground courses.
The GCC Faculty now have a consistent online course shell “template” that makes course preparation easy and seamless.
According to Jeffeory G. Hynes, Ed.D., Administration of Justice Studies at Glendale Community College, "I am truly convinced of the value for our students to save them textbook cost and provide them with a much better e-content product for a very reasonable price (one membership per term regardless of how many classes the student signs up for).
I have converted my entire 27 courses within my Administration of Justice Studies (AJS) program at Glendale Community College to the CT2Learn e-content format, saving my students hundreds if not thousands of textbook dollars each from our entire program.
I have converted my entire 27 courses within my Administration of Justice Studies (AJS) program at Glendale Community College to the CT2Learn e-content format, saving my students hundreds if not thousands of textbook dollars each from our entire program… I am a believer in their e-product, support and cutting edge content development assistance."
Students compare CT2Learn to traditional textbooks
In addition to Administration and Faculty satisfaction, we are also capturing student feedback…
“I like it much better. It provides more benefits than a textbook. It allows you to view multiple things and reduces the weight of actual books. It is better than books, because in the same area, you can find other resources needed.”
--Cory Contreras, Glendale C.C.
“Great resources for class. I like the availability of modules to get learning and review in a different way than just reading a book. I like the video links that give real examples of specific topics.”
--Shawn G., Glendale C.C.
"I really enjoy the CT2Learn site. I have used it for previous classes. I feel that this is better than an actual book."
--Tamaria W. Glendale C.C.
“I really do like using CT2Learn because there are a variety of books and resources that can be accessed for a reasonable membership price. For example, my Homeland Security class requires us to access different sources and books, and through the website we can access those books and sources.”
--Heather Christ, Arizona State University graduate program in Emergency Mgt. and Homeland Security
